Kiel

the city of kiel is of the most northern cities in germany. about 250.000 people live here, many looked scandinavian, and i noticed what seemed to be a higher proportion of men with long hair. the boat races had just ended as i arrived, but the energy continued. the city seemed to also collectively enjoy the abnormally pleasant weather.

i walked through the city during my free time and enjoyed the parks, especially the trees

a drawing from my favorite park, perhaps because it had a hill.

this cemetery lives across the street from the nursing home where i stayed. this glance, pictured here so caught my attention that as i walked backwards, i managed to fall on a large stone meant to keep autos from entering. it kind of hurt

so i returned to draw.

on my last day we drove by ferry to a small town to eat dinner. the ferries are like busses. they have a two man crew, it hauled in by a rope at each stop, and the passengers have but a few minutes to come or go.

the sea caused me to miss the puget sound.

rowing, sailing

the small town's harbor. (the name floats by me at the moment)

The fischbrötchen boat- fish sandwiches, i don't think these are sold at pike's market

we walked along the water front to the restaurant.
